Outcome of corrective osteotomy in case of Genu valgum stabilised by K-wire fixation under 18 years of age

Background: Objective was to study functional outcome of k-wire fixation in Genu valgum patients under 18 years age.Methods: Medial wedge osteotomy done all with significant deformity and fixed medial k-wires followed by postoperative cast. Patients were assessed preoperative LDFA TFA for correction Bostman Score outcome.Results: 27 (19 females 8 males) this study. There the mean radiological tibio-femoral angle lateral distal femoral from 17.940 8.040 88.950 78.750, respectively. At 3 month postoperatively score 88.9% had more than good while after 6 that score.Conclusion: This is less morbid, minimal implants, safe effective procedure parameters better complications.
